Fair Oak School

About

Fair oak school started in the year 2000 as an initiative of RGC-Pipeline to provide to the poor children from Mukuru Kwa Njenga slums, who would not otherwise afford to go to school. The school is a community focused development institution, It as registered by the government in the year 2012 The school is Christian based which strives to providea nurturing educational climate, a safe welcoming environment based on mutual respect, that encourage lifelong learning. Fair oak has over 300 children who come from the community. It offers learning from baby class (3 years) to class eight which has children of 14-15years. Fair oak school has staff members i.e 20 teaching staff 5 support staff 5 office staff

Aim purpose

To provide pupils an education that allows them to enhance their personal development, acquire skills and knowledge related to the expression and oral comprehension, reading, writing and calculation as well as develop social skills, work, and study habits, artistic, sence, creativity and affection as well preparing pupils for study techniquies for secondary education.

New Carriculum

Fair Oak School has fully implemented the new carriculum as directed by the Cabinet Secretary. All our teachers have been trained by the Kenya Institute of Carriculum Development(K.I.C.D) who are thr main implementers.

I sincerely thank the board of management members, our dear parents, staff, and pupils who help to carry the vision, special gratitude to our patron/Rev Brown and Director pst Josphine. In our task of education we work to bring human excellence and human values with a moral perception.

Impact of the school

The school provides leaning for vulnerable children who come from poor back ground. The school nurtures good behavior based on Christian values. The school empowers children to help them realize their dreams for life. To school meets educational needs for the poor in the community. The school is accessible by most people in the community. It develops responsible attitude of respect for others, encourage co existence and school family and avoid social violence. It helps the learners to know and use appropriate language from the condition of common language.

Objectives
  • Know and appreciate the values and norms of co-exisistance, learning to act accordance with them prepare for the active exercise of citizenship.

  • To know and use appropriate language from the condition of common language. E. To know, understand and respect the values of our civilizations, cultural and personal differences, equality of rights and opportunities for genders.
  • Develop basic skills and engage in problem solving requiring completion of elememntary operations of calculation geometric knowledge and estimates as well able to apply them to situation of everyday life.
  • Engage in information technologist and communication to develop a critical eye when accessing messages that are revised and written. Fair oak school can look upon the past years with quite a sense of satisfaction for there was much very much done to infuse vitality into every endeavor undertaken. It has grown from strength since its inception in January 2000. Through the years our effort has been to enducate & empower spiritually morally academically & other aspects of llife. We are committed to achieving excellence in meeting the education and training needs of community through the creation and maintenance of primary education and centered course as well as spiritual empowerment.
